TRACK 20

solstice

The grand finale to Field Day, Solstice encapsulated the energy and creativity of the UW music community through an exciting night of live performances and collaboration. Featuring a diverse lineup of artists and bands, from rap to jazz to rock, the show brought students together in celebration of music, art, and campus culture, serving as a memorable conclusion to a busy and fulfilling day.

SPECIAL EVENT

field day

A special, large-scale event hosted in collaboration with ASUW and fitted, Field Day was a series of events held on a beautiful sunny day in UW north campus. With a bustling flea market in the morning and afternoon, art gallery, campus club tabling, fashion show, and ending the night with Husky Jam’s show, Solstice, Field Day celebrated student creativity, community, and collaboration through a full day of art, music, fashion, and local vendors.

TRACK 19

in bloom

Taking place on a sunny day in Sylvan Grove, this show celebrated queer student artists, local vendors, and Seattle’s vibrant music community. Throughout the show, attendees explored work from local vendors, picked up Husky Jam’s new upcycled merch, and grabbed fresh flower bouquets to welcome the season.

TRACK 18

knockout

We held a boxing-themed DJ show in the Oak Hall Denny Room in collaboration with Mesh, a UW fashion collective. Each DJ was paired with a fashion designer, and models posed on stage around the DJ during each set. Performers stood on a boxing ring stage.

TRACK 17

Mosaic

In an effort to shine a light on the difficulties currently facing U.S. immigrants, we partnered with the UW’s chapter of La Resistencia - Immigrant Rights are Human Rights. Taking place in the wǝɫǝbʔaltxʷ - Intellectual House, this show raised donations to support those imprisoned at the Northwest Detention Center. Artists from immigrant backgrounds were encouraged to audition, and filled the space with sounds from around the globe.

TRACK 16

Slow Burn

Building off of the success of the Husky Jam Groove Lounge, we hosted another jazz show - this time in the HUB North Ballroom. Our artists jammed through the night while our audience sipped their mocktails, which also made their return from Track 13.

Dawg Daze

Melodaze

The successor to our inaugural show for Dawg Daze (The UW’s Welcome Week), Melodaze 2025 was a massive leap for our organization. We held a free-to-attend show outside of UW’s Mueller Hall, where over 400 students jammed out to a five band set with genres ranging from Bollywood fusion to punk rock.

TRACK 15

Cruise Control

Finishing off Husky Jam’s calendar for the 2024-25 school year, Cruise Control served as one last chance for students to kick back before finals. Featuring five UW bands (including a faculty group), this show looked forward to the summer while offering some great tunes in the UW HUB Lyceum.

TRACK 14

spin out

Calling all ravers! Spinout, boasting an all-DJ, EDM-focused set, was a first for Husky Jam. The Oak Hall Denny Room was packed full of students looking to have a blast at a rave-style atmosphere without leaving campus.

TRACK 13

groove lounge

At the Husky Jam Groove Lounge, we looked to keep the vibes high despite the dreary Seattle winter. Hosted in the wǝɫǝbʔaltxʷ - Intellectual House at the UW, this show featured five jazz musicians in a warmly lit, calm atmosphere with free hors d'oeuvres and craft mocktails available for purchase.

TRACK 12

louder together

Aiming to celebrate women and non-binary power, Louder Together brought together talented musicians in rock for a collaborative and diverse show. The show highlighted the strength, creativity, and community within underrepresented voices in rock music while creating an empowering and supportive environment for both performers and the audience.

TRACK 11

frozen echos

Boasting genres from jazz to rock, Frozen Echos brought together a diverse lineup of performers for an unforgettable night of live music. The event highlighted the wide range of talent within the community, blending unique sounds and styles into a dynamic concert.

Track 10

melodaze

Held in the ETC center on a beautiful summer evening, Melodaze kicked off the 2024-2025 school year as a free show for Dawg Daze, a UW event aimed for the new freshman class to get familiar with on campus clubs. With a line down the block, regular performers like Rose Peak and Meldrop captivated audiences with a vibrant atmosphere that introduced incoming students to UW’s music community.

TRACK 09

sunbloom

The final show of the 2023-2024 school year, Sunbloom capped it all off with all smiles and bright sounds. The audience could be seen jumping and dancing to surf-rock and indie rock acts, packing out the halls of the HUB Lyceum to make it seem small.

TRACK 08

boiler room

The hardest Husky Jam event to date, the Boiler Room brought the heat with an intense spread of metal, punk, and bass house. Warning tape and a bare-bones production style brought a raw, gritty atmosphere to the wǝɫǝbʔaltxʷ - Intellectual House. Moshing and head-banging abound, Boiler Room represented Husky Jam’s push to keep expanding its horizons to feature more music at UW.

TRACK 07

getaway

Presented as joyful respite from the stress of winter-quarter finals, The Getaway was a jazz/fusion oriented show full of relaxing vibes, complete with a resort aesthetic and beach balls. Wildly popular with students seeking refuge from exam studying, The Getaway was a smashing success that broke the Husky Jam ticket sales record at the time, bringing in over 300 students to fill out the HUB Ballroom.

TRACK 06

bring back the beat

A rebirth in many senses, Bring Back the Beat was Husky Jam’s first event after a year-long hiatus, featuring a fresh officer team working with reinvigorated passion. Held in response to voices from UW musicians calling for an opportunity to express themselves, Bring Back the Beat featured first-time performances from now-beloved UW acts, including The Taste (who have since rebranded at Rose Peak).

TRACK 05

green grove

Green Groove marked an important milestone in the evolution of Husky Jam, as this marked the first time that Husky Jam jumped out of the Kelly Ethnic Cultural Theatre and started holding events more broadly across UW campus. Held in the historical HUB Lyceum (where Nirvana performed back in the day), Green Groove was also the first time that Husky Jam collaborated with an outside group, bringing in Green Greeks to run a sustainable clothing drive to complement the show.

TRACK 04

monster mash

As part of a larger goal to give a voice to as many student musicians as possible, Husky Jam presented its first ever open mic, Monster Mash, on Halloweekend 2022. This event featured an eclectic mix of up-and-coming talent, including solo and singer-songwriter acts which hadn’t been seen on Husky Jam stages until that point.

TRACK 03

woofstock

Woofstock was the very first multi-day festival that Husky Jam produced. Featuring performances from a staggering 12 UW bands, Woofstock manifested the ambition and raw energy that lay in the student scene. It was also the most ambitious production effort by Husky Jam to date.

TRACK 02

the spring thing

Hot off the success of its first event, The Spring Thing swiftly followed up by featuring a fresh bill of UW talent with sounds even more varied. The Spring Thing saw the first ever performance by Gender Envy, who are now revered as U-District legends. Seattle’s own Aurora Ave made an appearance as well, setting the stage for the energetic culture that Husky Jam was to cultivate in the UW music scene.

TRACK 01

the husky jam

Where it all began. Initially planned as a one-off event of friends, by friends and for friends, The Husky Jam proved itself to be the seed for something much bigger when it sold out the Kelly Ethnic Cultural Theatre. The very first lineup consisted of musicians with wickedly diverse artistry, covering jazz, funk, experimental noise rock and J-pop.
