ABOUT US

Husky Jam provides students a platform to express their musical talent.

Founded in 2022 by a group of students looking to find gig opportunities for their bands, we have quickly transformed into a one-stop-shop for anyone interested in getting involved with live music at the University of Washington (UW). Anchored by a dedicated team of officers, we create, organize, and put on live performances for student bands and the UW community.

Beyond our own productions, we have collaborated with other organizations on campus, such as the Arts and Entertainment division of the UW Associated Student Union (ASUW), to bring live music events to a larger audience.

Retrorangers X Eyuall

Album release

Longtime collaborators, producer RETRORANGERS and rap artist Eyuall recently released the long awaited project “THE PARTY”. A blend of rap, hyperpop, trap, and much more, the project encapsulates a bold and genre-blending sound that reflects the creative chemistry between the two artists. With energetic production, experimental elements, and emotionally charged performances, “THE PARTY” showcases the duo’s ability to push beyond traditional genre boundaries while crafting a project that feels both chaotic and cohesive.

A beloved Husky Jam regular, Meldrop has just release their newest single, "Point Defiance" out now on all streaming platforms. They are set to go on their eat coast leg of their tour this summer!

TRACK 16

Slow Burn

Building off of the success of the Husky Jam Groove Lounge, we hosted another jazz show - this time in the HUB North Ballroom. Our artists jammed through the night while our audience sipped their mocktails, which also made their return from Track 13.

TRACK 17

Mosaic

In an effort to shine a light on the difficulties currently facing U.S. immigrants, we partnered with the UW’s chapter of La Resistencia - Immigrant Rights are Human Rights. Taking place in the wǝɫǝbʔaltxʷ - Intellectual House, this show raised donations to support those imprisoned at the Northwest Detention Center. Artists from immigrant backgrounds were encouraged to audition, and filled the space with sounds from around the globe.

Knockout

We held a boxing-themed DJ show in the Oak Hall Denny Room in collaboration with Mesh, a UW fashion collective. Each DJ was paired with a fashion designer, and models posed on stage around the DJ during each set. Performers stood on a boxing ring stage.

In Bloom

Taking place on a sunny day in Sylvan Grove, this show celebrated queer student artists, local vendors, and Seattle’s vibrant music community. Throughout the show, attendees explored work from local vendors, picked up Husky Jam’s new upcycled merch, and grabbed fresh flower bouquets to welcome the season.
